uxcon vienna’27 is happening at the Jugendstiltheater on the Otto Wagner Areal, one of Vienna's most beautiful hidden spots.
This year will be all about stepping off the hamster wheel.
No rushing from meeting to meeting, no inbox pinging every five minutes. Just space and time to think, connect and get inspired.
And we found the perfect place for it: a stunning Art Nouveau theater built more than 100 years ago (1904–1907). It was originally designed as a place for culture and wellbeing, and after a careful renovation it reopened in 2025. Picture ornate details, elegant halls and a historic stage, now with modern technology.
The theater sits on the Otto Wagner Areal, a large park-like site on the western edge of Vienna, close to the Vienna Woods. It's named after Otto Wagner, one of the city's most famous architects, and his iconic Kirche am Steinhof with its golden dome is just a short walk away. Think old trees, wide green lawns, historic pavilions and views across the city. It's the kind of place where your shoulders drop and your head clears, and that's when the good ideas show up. Take your time between talks: grab a coffee, wander through the park and have the conversations you never get to have in the daily chaos. You'll leave with new contacts, fresh ideas and maybe even a little more calm.

Please make sure your company devices can actually connect to the WiFi (you'll need a username + password for it). Not sure if it'll work? No worries, USB tethering works as a backup.

There’s no shortage of hotels in the area. It’s pretty easy (though sometimes a bit more pricey) to find a place to stay in the 1st district, right in the historic heart of Vienna. If you book early, you can find some great deals - especially if you're after a charming old-style apartment.
That said, there are also plenty of other (cheaper and nicer) options a bit farther away.
Thanks to Vienna’s excellent public transport, you can still get to our venues quickly and easily.
Very close to the venue
Not the cheapest option, but comfortable and very close to the venue.
About 900m from the venue, pretty nice and reasonably priced.
For the adventurous: small sleeping pods, great location, very affordable.

Apartments & budget-friendly options
Simple, but you get a whole apartment. Great price and great location.
Located by the Danube Canal, nice hotel and good price. About 20 min by tram or metro.
Not in the city center, but in an up-and-coming district with a quick U2 connection. Cozy and very good value.
