We're saying hi and diving straight into an exciting topic that we'll be focusing on throughout the conference, led by Kathy and Salome together!
UX: A (collaborative) Reality Check
Let's start a discussion and create collective awareness!
There are several trends in the field of UX, some putting UX at more of a business level (think “seat at the table” or UXers moving into product management), while other trends are pushing UX to be more of a commodity (think design systems or generative AI). We want your perspective on the state of UX. What have you experienced and observed?
We will use the data we collect at uxcon to share preliminary findings at the closing talk on day 2, and then to build some hypotheses for further investigation. So far, our research questions are:
- Are we, as UX, drivers or supporters or something else? And is this what we want to be?
- Are we equipped with what we need to fulfill what this role is?
- Do we need a unified vision as a discipline/industry? Do we already have one? How can we make the implicit explicit to better understand what the state of UX is and what kind of future we want?
Stop by our booth in the Expedithalle (main stage) on day 1 during one of the breaks to share your perspective. And if you’d like to participate more, join us in the evening on day 1 for some hands-on workshopping using the input from the day. We’ll be in the Co-Innovation Factory – just follow the music and arrows. 😊
